I'm currently flirting with the idea of trying Ubuntu at least in my off hours... and possibly even for work purposes if the add-ons that let you run Windoze apps on it will keep MS Office stable enough.

The deal breaker for me would be the mail client. The Bat doesn't come in a Linux version, and it's a good question whether any of the Linux options are even close to powerful enough to be an acceptable replacement.
