Pillboxes

Several months ago, I noticed an odd trend.

You know when you open a box of pills, the pharmaceutical information leaflet is around the sheets of pills? Well, I noticed that every time I opened the box, the leaflet would be around *that* side, so that I'd either have to pull the leaflet out, or open the other side of the box to get to the pills.

Naturally I started paying attention every time I opened a box of pills. A couple of days ago, for the first time I can remember - and that's at the least for several months - I opened a box of pills, and the leaflet was not on that side.

OK, am I getting into too-trivial posts here? Maybe.

And here, when I saw the title of your post, I thought there'd be some juicy D-Day or Anzio chat...

I used to always have the same problem! :) That's why I shake pillboxes.
The sound of the little plastic thing hitting the cardboard straight vs the leaflet and cardboard differs slightly, so it gives me a better chance of opening up the "correct" side...

Ooh! Ooh! Can your next post be all about dropping buttered toast on the floor??

Heh. I've noticed this as well. To bypass the leaflet one almost always needs to turn the box around so the rear side is facing you. I guess it's deliberate because they want one to read the information?

Also -- matching you trivia for trivia here -- I can't remember the last time I was able to re-fold the leaflet correctly on my first try. What is up with the weird and seemingly random way they fold those things?

I read them. *is a geek*

Joking aside, I tend to be on the unlucky side of the spectrum of users who get the side-effects. Or at least I've been on the unlucky side often enough that I like to know what to expect.
