Roger Whittaker

Back when I was a kid, my dad used to listen to singer Roger Whittaker when we'd drive down to the coast, played on tapes in the car, of course. I got to love the music, and I've listened to Whittaker's music ever since - so more than 45 years, more than any other music artist I've enjoyed (though ABBA is close). Roger Whittaker produced literally hundreds of albums, many of them in German, despite him not speaking German. My favourite songs of his are "The Last Farewell" and "I Don't Believe in If Anymore", but my favourite album was an almost country & western themed album "Changes", which I had on tape but it was never released digitally or on CD; I found the tracks on YouTube.

Last week I was wondering how he was doing, and I made a small edit on his Wikipedia page. Little did I know he'd actually died a couple of days before, with his family around him. :(
