Interesting. I always felt Dr Crippen was not the horrific murderer he was painted out to be. Still, all this does is prove that the corpse wasn't his wife, so even if he killed her, he didn't leave her corpse in the house.
That's true, but he was hanged for killing his wife, on the basis that the corpse was hers. So evidently, he ought to have been acquitted. I wonder who the corpse was though?
Remember his comment when captured that he was glad that it was all over. Whether this meant that he had been stopped from "running" or that he would have to pay for Cora's death, who can say. I wonder if his then girlfriend didn't have more to do with it than she admitted. She was aquitted of any wrongdoing but there may just have been too little evidence to convict her. She may have done the killing.
