  • Sat, 10:09: Gym even better this week. 400 non-stop crunches followed by 100 leg raises. Rather tired now. #fb

That's a lot! I gather you're doing it for the cardiovascular benefit or physical enjoyment, and not to build strength or muscle?

If part of your goal is to build strength and muscle, you may want to cut way down on your exercising. My understanding is that it takes very little exercise (when done right) to get the maximal effect, and anything more is sub-optimal. A full hour is way too much.

If it just feels good, then by all means, the more the merrier :)

I wonder if or how your opinions would change if you read Ferriss' 4 Hour Body (http://www.amazon.com/4-Hour-Body-Uncommon-Incredible-Superhuman/dp/030746363X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308924960&sr=8-1). Of course what works for him and those he's tested with or talked to might not work for everyone, but then, perhaps it will. I admit I've been lazy and not tried. I might have to. :)
