Taxi driver up for murder

Last year a taxi driver drove on the wrong side of the road, past booms, and onto a railway crossing. A train hit his taxi, killing 10 children and injuring four. He was arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder; there's legal precedent for being egregiously reckless and causing deaths.

He was convicted of murder and attempted murder, and got 20 years. Good.

It's so common here. Even while the driver was in trial, motorists reported taxis doing exactly the same thing at the same place every single day...

the driver deserves the sentence. This does nothing for the general mayhem they cause. If punishment is only meted out when passengers are killed, it will never fix the day to day problems. How do you punish a taxi driver for reckless driving if you can only fine him? Fines are so optional in this country. Do the right thing, bribe a traffic cop today.
