Parents of boy who died commit suicide

I found this news article really heart-wrenching. The bit about the boy's teddy bears and tractor moved me almost to tears.

I've been lucky enough to never be in the sort of situation those parents were in, and I hope never to be, but I can understand exactly why they did it.

I was reading about a website where they were trying to raise money for him, after he was paralysed in a car accident. Such a lovely little boy and such devoted parents. It's tragic. :(

As a parent myself I completely understand this. So very, very sad, though.

I remember thinking when I fell pregnant for the second time (with DD) that, although one child could never replace another, at least if something happened to DS I'd have a reason to go on.

I know what you mean; one would certainly need something to keep one going.
